SIERRA SINGLE PITCHN’
Golden State Guiding is excited to announce the 7th annual Sierra Single Pitchn’ event is back this July 19th - 21st in the beautiful Mammoth Lakes region in the Eastern Sierra!
Come join us for an unforgettable weekend of climbing and camaraderie in the breathtaking Mammoth Lakes and June Lake areas conveniently located in the heart of the Sierra and just a short drive from Yosemite National Park! Twelve lucky climbers will have the pleasure of climbing at two separate alpine crags throughout the weekend with our professionally trained, AMGA Guides. Our guests will have the opportunity to participate in multiple instructional clinics such as building top rope anchors, rappelling, and cleaning a sport anchor, and will get to meet new and long lasting climbing partners along the way! Downtown Mammoth is easily accessible from our campsites for the weekend so after a long day of climbing, feel free to head into town and support local by grabbing a bite to eat or indulging in a tasty beverage from one of our favorite establishments, Distant Brewing!

COST: $450
LOCATION: Mammoth Lakes & June Lake, Eastern Sierra
TRIP DATES: July 19th - 21st, 2024 (3 DAYS, 2 NIGHTS)

Two days of guided rock climbing and instruction with our professionally trained AMGA Guides in the Mammoth Lakes and June Lake areas.
Two nights camping in Mammoth Lakes.
Instructional clinics both days, geared towards climbing on your own outdoors.
Any personal climbing equipment for the weekend including a harness, helmet and climbing shoes.

FRIDAY, JULY 19TH
Arrive to the campground anytime after 3:00 pm, set up camp, get settled in and meet your new climbing partners for the weekend! The camping location in Mammoth Lakes will be sent out to all participants 2 weeks before the event.
SATURDAY, JULY 20TH
Rock climbing in Mammoth Lakes! The climbing location will be determined closer to the event but will be in close proximity to Mammoth Lakes and our campsites. Throughout the day we’ll be facilitating instructional clinics for those interested which will include topics such as top rope anchors, rappelling, and cleaning a sport anchor. Once back to camp the evening is yours to do as you please! If you decide to support local and head into town be sure to check out Distant Brewing, one of our favorite places to visit after a day of climbing!
SUNDAY, JULY 21ST
Camp breakdown in the morning and then rock climbing from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. We'll end the day around 2:00 pm, have a quick debrief with all the guests, pack up and head home.

All guests will be responsible for their own meals for the duration of the event. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, both at camp and while climbing in the Mammoth Lakes and June Lake areas. Golden State Guiding will provide the campsites for both nights in Mammoth. All guests will also be responsible for their own transportation to and from the climbing locations and all camping equipment.
